Hey you! Yes you! Remember that cool album from The Dailies that you’ve been listening to over and over again? Well, why not take a moment to tell every living person how incredibly awesome it is!
Head over to Amazon.com and review the thing already! Give it the 5 stars it deserves, and then leave a lengthly diatribe about how nobody appreciates the subtle brilliance of the keyboard work, or give a track by track critique of how the album is really an extended metaphor for sexual awakening, or set off on a vicious indictment of the key of Ab minor … whatever! Just get some review up already!

Last week, I told you all about the 99 free songs from Amazon. I have to apologize, as every single one of those songs is complete garbage. Seriously. I almost blew my brains out. But now…
Amazon has a host of free “Label Sampler” downloads. Basically, a bunch of indie record labels released compilations of their respective artists. They’re offering 10 full albums/compilations for free, you don’t need to sign up for spam, either! Check ‘em out here. I have no idea if and/or when these expire, so get at ‘em, won’t you?
At the very least, download the sampler with the Flight of The Conchords and Iron and Wine songs, put together by Amazon. It’s got some really good music on it, including a track from Fleet Foxes, my new favorite band. and it costs none dollars and zero cents.
Don’t say I never gave you nuthin.
Ryan Boren is a very nice guy (I’m assuming) who works at Automattic, a company that makes some very nice tools to protect us from spam. Ryan has also been a part of the development community for WordPress, the software that runs this blog. Ryan is a new media guy, all about the blogging, the twittering, the Web 2.0′ing, the social networking and whatnot. Very social.
Ryan supports some of the cost of the blog by suggesting books to buy in his sidebar. I don’t know if these are books Ryan is currently reading, or books that Ryan has recently looked at on Amazon, or just books that Ryan thinks his readers might like. But I will say this – somebody has been a little too social.
Ryan, I don’t know who you’ve been talking to, but I don’t think Hydrogen Peroxide will cure Herpes.
Amazon.com has released their list of “Bad Valentines Day Gifts” – comprised of things sold through the online-mega-mall. It’s freakin’ hilarious.
Some of my personal faves…
32 oz Bottle of Wolf Urine, A Whole Fresh Rabbit and 2 Cases of Praying Mantis Eggs
Hey honey! Are you reading this? Get ready for romance tomorrow!
I love learning new and useful things. You know how the Google “I’m Feeling Lucky” button immediately takes you to the top site result for your search? Firefox does the same thing if you type your search string in the address bar, with no http or .com – try just typing “amazon aly hawkins” in the web address bar (not the google search box), and you’ll see what I mean.
