Hensley Buzz: Worship Leader Magazine has put a nice review in the issue that just arrived. SongDiscovery.com has a free download on their front page. The CD release party was great (thanks to June) and we sold a nice pile of discs. And now, everyone that reads Addison Road is about to order their copy at http://www.thestickhouse.com.
Side note: any of you artist types every tried Facebook ads to sell your record?

Never tried. How much do they cost?

And also, congrats! Great to get good press. This album deserves to be heard (and bought) by a lot of people.

Well, so far, it’s had 11,000 plus “impressions”, i.e. shown up on someone’s page somewhere that many times. I’ve gotten 4 clicks from those. That’s cost me $3 so far. I think if I haven’t gotten a sale on my site by the time I hit $10 I’ll cancel it.

How widespread are you marketing? Just everyone in general, or withing certain networks?
We looked at buying facebook ads for G’s business a while back, and the rates seemed a little steep for smaller populations, i.e. just female users in the APU network.

Oh babe. That’s an interesting statement.

Well, no worse than trying to pick a category of people to show the ad to.
