Just upgraded to Sibelius 6 – I love it! A bunch of fixed, a lot faster, it does some very intelligent things with layout (like making sure your lyrics don’t overlap your stems and dynamics, grouping things together so that when one dynamic moves, the vertical position of all of them in the line move). I have yet to do a big score to parts project, but from what I’ve seen so far, it’s going to be great!
Anybody else using it? I’m waiting for the Sibelius / Protools integration to step up a bit more (graphic editing of midi data via score, for example), but when it does, I think APU will switch from Logic to that as our primary music platform.

Not using it yet–but plan to upgrade soon.
Between Finale and Sibelius, I use Finale more often…but not by choice.

Just remember, when the time comes to switch, you will have your on-the-job hours just about doubled for about three years.
Training music theory profs, re-training students, blah blah blah.
It’s a real joy, lemme tell ‘ya.
FTR, Pro Tools still doesn’t incorporate any sibelius technology that I can see. The score editor in pro tools bears almost no resemblance to sibelius, though it does do one thing sibelius 5 doesn’t do. You can actually drag a note left or right to change its starting point, instead of the kludgy cut/set new location/paste approach in sib 5.
Did they add that to sib 6?
I guess I’ll find out when the upgrade appears.
