  1. Thank you for the lesson plan idea.

  2. PS - They don’t write TV themes like Taxi anymore, do they.

  3. I’m kind of surprised that none of you have named one of your offspring something like Hammond Moog or…

  4. …Fender McOscillation…

    or….

  5. My oldest brother put a guitar strap on his Moog so he could use it better in the pep/funk pep band at high school games. (1986) This keyboard accompanied his perm and muscle shirts.

  6. Fear the keytar. There is only one person who has redeemed the keytar, and it is Paul Meany.

  7. Im still hoping for more nerdy keyboard names.

    How about Resonance Filter Reisser?

  8. DX7 Steckler?

  9. That sounds like a robot, Mike! What are you trying to say???

  10. George Costanza would be proud.

  11. We’re gonna mock Sharolyn, right? Like I get mocked? Right, Mike?

This is an equal opportunity mockery… umm… opportunity, right?

  12. We’ll mock her after her 17th time.

  13. Too easy - fender rhodes. Sung by Blossom Dearie, I believe.

  14. I figured that was too easy. I didn’t know this (from Wikipedia):
“The Army Air Corps piano was invented during World War II by Harold Rhodes in an effort to provide a piano that injured servicemen could build and play while in bed.”

  15. If you can find them, those first generation of hand-made lap pianos are worth a fortune.

  16. This one looks pretty cool. (I’m procrastinating preparing for school tomorrow.)

  17. Hey, you looked up the Blossom Dearie thing, right?
