Off to the studio this week to record a Christmas album. It’s approximately 158 degrees in Burbank so I’m in an appropriately wintery mood, of course. Any suggestions for how to invoke the spirit o’ the (not yet in) season?
My pedalboard is covered in christmas lights. Makes my toes hot. My favorite part, though, is the Veggie Tales nativity scene set up to overlook the bass player’s area. …and Mike’s ongoing threat to drop the Yule Log if we feed him irresponsibly.

Put up some old school C9 Christmas lights around the studio. I smell pumpkin and pine just thinking about their flattering glow.

Think of all the heathens who don’t remember THE REASON FOR THE SEASON and let the frosty chill in your heart permeate the room.

It turns out the artist was way ahead of us. Christmas decorations and Yuletide whiskey all around!
