Thanks, Shar. Musical compliments from you rank pretty high in my book.

Do you mind re-posting this comment over at The Dailies's Blog? I'd like to move this traffic over to their site, to liven things up over there a bit. In fact, I think I may close comments on this post, to force the issue!

I love that, like the situation you described of wanting to be let go with a blessing, in the music there are a handful of things going on, and yet there is one thing going on.

Asking for a blessing is the opposite of saying, "Screw you guys, I'm going home" (I can't believe I just quoted Cartman). The sounds of this science project are tender-hearted and non-pretentious. They say, "please" and "I really do love you".

Either that, or Mike's full of it, and I fell for every note.

Dear Google people:

I am not tweaking you. Me attempting to tweak you is like the monkeys worshipping the monolith in the movie 2001. I don't really understand what I'm doing.

So, manipulating Google like works much better if you do two things:

Don't actually mention Google anywhere near the link (they assume you're tweaking them if you do

Make the text of the link the same as the search term you want associated with your site (in this case, "The Dailies").

Off to listen ...
