laptop down … again

Just a quick question … why do all of my laptops break? I’m on laptop #4 just since fall, and this one just quit working last night.

    Yes. I also considered gnawing off my own fingers and clubbing myself to death with the bloody nubbins, but decided against it.

    So, it’s not just me. The IT guys on campus said that they’ve been going through this version of the MacBook Pro like Seth Rogan goes through Judd Apatow movies. The hard drives keep frying out on them.

    We gather up about 30 of the failed laptops.

    We go to Cupertino with a camcorder and a high powered fragmenting projectile emitting device (I’d use the real name, but then Carnivore would get me).

    Outside Apple headquarters, one of us uses the camcorder to record one of us yelling “pull” as the third hurls silicon targets into the air.

    I have felt this way before. I would have done it then, but I had no desire to star in the eventual slow-speed chase through Silicon Valley.

    But you guys could probably get away…

    It is weird for me when you guys mention Cupertino since I am there often. My daughter was there today (with her aunt). It’s just a place, but I guess it’s not just a place, too. I’ve been at a few parties with some Apple big-time mucky-muck, but I can’t remember his name or what he does. Hmm.

    I am not one to dish advice on anything technological, but we have two Dell laptops and they have never given us any problems. Except when the first grader dropped mine and shattered the LCD… that was not a good day… but not the Dell’s fault.
