Today, Jobs will ascend the holy mountain, and deliver unto us the wonder of his majestic design, sparking desires in us that went hitherto unknown. Yes, friends, the Jobs Keynote Address at the Worldwide Developer Conference is today at 10am (Standard Cupertino Time Zone).

I put the over / under odds on a new faster iphone at 80%, and I’m almost certain we’ll see the developer release of the next iteration of OSX. Aside from that … who knows! You?

  1. Well, I hope he comes up with an app to help me make up for the two lost hours of work I’ll spend watching His Macness.

  2. He did - it’s called “Minesweeper not included in default operating system.”

That little app choice has saved me hundreds of hours.

  3. they confirmed the name of OS X 10.6 - Snow Leopard.

  4. iPhone 3G is a go

GPS included, new iphone apps, new “push” stream for app notifications (this looks very cool), new mobileme to replace .mac for full sync capabilities.

  5. Oh, and it’s 200 bucks. Sweet.

  6. Early adopters around the globe weep, wail, and nash teeth.

Patient (read: poor) folks like me rejoice.

  7. Hey Gretchen and Erica, shall we start a support group?

  8. Erica’s part of the cult now. She drank the kool-aid.

  9. I’m thinking of getting me a cup of the sweet sweet juice as well. Sorry June. But if you want to start a support group for “wives of geeks” I’m all for it.

  10. How about a support group for the suffering wives of enormously talented, sensitive, attentive husbands?

  11. Chad is in the dark place. The bitter, bitter dark place.

Cheer up, Chad. All will be indie-tastic soon.

  12. Beth gets my hand me down when I buy the new one next month.

Everyone wave goodbye to my Fender Champ! It’s going through ebay training to learn how to be an iPhone.

  13. Dude….

I’m so not in the bad place. I’m in full blown Dailies, Chad, and Erica Inc. mode, for perhaps the very first time. It’s about 2-3 months old, this understanding of what it’s gonna take to do this thing.

I am like a man possessed.

  14. are you closer to a realistic street date?

  15. Guess who’s getting an early birthday present on July 11th? CHRISTY.

and it will be my old iPhone.

    muahahahahaha…

  16. funny how we call them “old”. Mine still rules all. And will continue to after I give it to Beth. So it can rule all for her too… from her dresser… or a different purse… or the kitchen counter… or the glove compartment of the Bethmobile…

  17. Corey -

I’m gunning to have vocals done by the end of July, and a master in hand by mid August, so… mid Sept, I’d say. Erica and I might get annoyed enough (time wise) to ask her folks take the kids for another week so we can just go to town, and that would accelerate the process. It’s just REALLY difficult to carve the time away from the kids.

I should also add that, ironically, the commitment we made towards stripping down our sound forces the vocal tracking process into a longer timeframe. It’s easy to get a “pretty good” pass and say… well… with the double it’ll sound great.

It’s quite another thing to get one pass that carries the weight all by itself. It’s been rewarding, though. Signal Chain is just… spectacular.

  18. Just to throw in my 2 cents, The Dailies played a stripped down gig last night with Give Away Your Hearts in a tough room and kicked some serious buttocks.

  19. http://www.thedailiesmusic.com/site/we-had-a-gig-and-you-werent-invited/

There’s a lotta love in the room.

Also, (just to get back on topic) iPhones rule!
