Yeah, Dubai is crazy building right now - something like 90% of the worlds construction cranes are there, building resorts, hotels, islands (apparently).
Glad to see that $107 a barrel oil money is going to good use!
To any realtor who might say, “God’s not making any more beach-front property,” one can now reply, “No, but man is.”
I watched a show about the Kansai International Airport in Japan, located on an artificial island. It sunk 8 meters, way more than expected, and this group of miracle-workers I was watching were supposed to fix it. This from Wikipedia: “after construction, the rate of sinking was considered so severe that the airport was widely criticized as a notorious structural engineering disaster.
I know the world does not work this way, but sometimes I wonder how many heifers or goats could have been purchased with that $20 billion.

Biggest unintentional laugh of the day goes straight to you, Lamby-Toes.
Also… I’m sorta sad that I can’t bait the Addy ladies with my jokingly misogynistic comments anymore. If you’re thinking that by ignoring me, you’ll make me go away…

Dubai is amazing-looking, and I’d like to see it. That said, I tend to get a little frowny about environmental impact and such.
I confess that I find Dubai somewhat fascinating, as well. I’m hoping to take Erica there, so we can work on her submissiveness.

…well… you’re most likely correct.
Sorry, love. Even women can learn.
It’s not really baiting if you’ve met Erica. It’s just nonsense.
My number has been gotten, I fear.
Never mind that. You’re still a lovely man that I like very much.
“Addy ladies”…”Lamby-Toes”…”lovely man”…my, my…it’s all very warm and cozy and chenilley ’round here.
