I have to say, having lived through the “D&D is killing our CHILDREN!” religious phase, then the “gamers are nerds” phase of perfect indifference – plus, never having played the game – I still feel sorrow for his death. Because he and his game helped create/mold the group of people to which Ramon and I generally cleave and most identify with. That may make us wannabe geeks. I shall think on it.

It’s always mind blowing when a 12 hit die creature is felled. I had many sleepless nights playing his game. To the first dungeon master…..thanks
