So Mike and I are hopefully on the brink of being able to purchase our first home. We’re pretty excited about the current market (as we don’t have to sell our current home before buying the next) and have enjoyed watching our money become worth more and more house. However, the one we’re looking at now, is a little out of our price range. Anyone interested in going in with us? And by anyone, I think I probably need to include the entire reading audience of Addison Road.

That is one nice house!! :)
Are you sure you don’t want to move to Tennessee and buy our house? We have to sell it in the very near future as the IRS would like all of our money. We are only asking 210K for it.

I’m pretty sure the house G linked to would only cost 32 million in Nashville …

To balance your carbon footprint in that house, you need only use LED Christmas lights and drive a Prius.

There are certain things we would require. Please ask if it has a fourth bedroom.

With 10% down, your monthly payment is $928,000. A month. Every 1st day of every month. Don’t sweat it, though, that includes taxes and insurance.

Who gets to write the elevator music?

What is the point of having an elevator on only the main floor?

How close is the nearest Starbucks? Oh, fabulous – it contains a Starbucks!

Jason, there are 4 master suites. We’ll just rent the other three out for $309k a month.

Hmm… peach isn’t really my thing, but I guess if we’re slumming it I can make due.

Ok, so you know you’re in trouble when you’re looking at pictures of a house like that and you see the one of the big, curved, windowed ballroom, and all you can think is… “I wonder how that would sound as a live room?”
sharolyn 8:21 am on 11 February 2008 Permalink
Karen, I am so sorry to hear that! Will you stay in Tennessee?
corey 8:42 am on 11 February 2008 Permalink
Yeah, Karen, that one slipped right by. I hope all is well between you and Uncle Sam (we’ll be writing a very fat check as well). The Witt family will keep yours in our prayers.

Chad, I wondered along the same lines.
Mike, you can also split up the cable bill with the roommates. That takes it from impossible to doable, I think.
Karen, I am sorry to hear that as well.

Yeah, what’s up with the Reinch clan? That sucks.

That ballroom would make a great live room I bet!! :)
Oh, being self employed the last couple of years hasn’t been to good for paying the taxes. We have been comfortable but haven’t been able to pay the big chunk of taxes.
But, we need to move anyway. Our kids are zoned for a school that has high gang rates and drop out rates. Elementary school is fantastic, jr. highs are ok and high school is bad.
We are staying in Tennessee, just need to cut a few expenses!
But if we can move in with the Addison Rd crew I think we will do that! :)

I’m in for about 1.5 square feet…how much would that be?
