Bug Hunt!

Hey, I’m trying to trace down a bug. How many of you are getting RSS Feed triggers from random links to content on this blog? They might look like “live bookmarks” on Firefox, or added to your “feed” folder on Safari. It happens when you click on the sidebar link to one of the “recent comments”, or a category link. Let me know if it’s happening to you, so that I can hunt it down and fix it.

RSS seems to be working fine in Safari for me… though, that RSS feed has never been all that accurate from AR for me.

It’s not a problem with the RSS feed, it’s a problem with clicking on a regular link somewhere on the site, and being SENT to the RSS feed.

OK, looks like it was a problem with apache’s cache mod. No worries, everyone, the unshaven flue-ridden jazz pianist has reconfigured our underlying server software. Everything should be juuuuuust fine now.

here’s a fun one… It’s now acting like I hit the “quote” button when I visit a link under latest comments. Here’s the demo.

yeah, the wordpress mod I’m using (K2) relies on a plugin called quoter that is years old, and no longer supported. Everybody is waiting around to see if somebody can write a fix for it.

I tried enabling it this morning, just to see. Too awful to use.
