How hot is that guy on the B3, eh?
A few thoughts:
- The camera guy doesn’t know the difference between a bass and an electric guitar.
- Over the past few years, Rosy’s left hand has become the thunderstick of justice on the snare drum.
- Nothing beats a real B3. Nothing else even comes close.
- That dress is 3 inches away from being NC-17.
- This is video evidence of Katharine McPhee asking us to be her house band. This was probably more exciting last week than this week.

No shoes? Really? Weird.
Um…and she TOTALLY wants to tour with you…
1. I was always under the impression that the phrase, “Rosy’s Thunderstick of Justice” was NOT referring to his left hand. (In fact, I thought it was publicly referred to as “The Judge”. But I digress…
2. I thought Katherine McPhee could actually sing. I was apparently misinformed.
3. Love the dress.
4. Does the lead singer/worship leader in the first video remind anyone else of Darren? Is it Darren?
5. Mike: I love the seizure-ific style with which you pulverize those B3 keys, brutha. You’re like Joe Cocker on a good day.
Yes, indeed it is Darren.
Yeah, Corey’s wife Beth and I went to the show, enjoyed the Dailies stuff (BTW how rockstar does Erica look?) and prayed REALLY hard that Katherine would not in fact “praise God” while singing by raising her arms up. Sheesh. She had shoes on at the start of the show, but apparently couldn’t really be bothered later.
what happened when she sat down in church?
really? That’s darren? Whoa.
I was wondering if that dress was taking place in a church…
that dress was having church all on its own.
AMEN!
I’m just wondering where the rest of it is.
I think I’ll use that dress as an excuse for my playing on the first song…
Oh, and Darren sent me this link a couple of months ago. I think he’s in counseling now because of how he thinks he performed.
You guys RULE. I’m so glad to see this video! I thought Darren (I don’t know this person) did a lovely job - I have to say, though, that for a moment I thought I was watching The Chad lead worship and wondered wildly how different you could possibly look and sound just by losing the weight equivalent of a twelve-year-old boy. Imagine my relief to find him, looking very much like himself, giving that piano the best night of its life.
You’re all rock stars. You absolutely outshone Her Legliness, but then, I’m not a fan. Who was the bad boy on guitar?
Wait…Corey, you played? Is that you on guitar? Did I just see you play for the first time in my life?
that’s right, baby. In technicolor explosive youtubieness.
You looked really cool. You played really cool.
i’m picking up your sarcasm.
No you’re not. YOU’RE OUT OF LINE, PRIVATE!!!
You see my face, Corey? Is this my sarcastic face? No. No, it is not. This is my “get the coffee down before someone steals it” face.
lol.
that’s the same one from your blog. yes, i’ve lurked. sue me.
I’m sitting here with my sister-in-law, who went to The Boston Conservatory with “Kat” (and Constantine). So, really, did this take place in a church?
Yep. Coast Hills in South Orange County.
it was the “Well Done Awards”.
“Well Done?!”
Oh my.
As in, “well done, good and faithful servant, here is the jewel for your crown on Earth so you will get none in Heaven”?
I’m kidding… I guess I’m asking what the “well done awards” are. Was she asked to sing, and then she asked you guys to play?
I’ll stop asking questions now. :)
Sharolyn, this blog is not an appropriate place to ask questions. Please refrain from engaging any of the other blogger-ers in conversation.
LOL! - and phew - I was afraid I had offended with that first comment above. We are at a big family dinner, laughing and noticing that the guys often comment one line, sometimes even a few syllables. The women are thinking, “What’s the 411 guys, work with me here…”
My sister-in-law even went on a date with Constantine (he asked) shortly after he was voted off. This affected my life directly only in that I had the rapt attention of my fifth grade female students. Because of course this meant that Paula Abdul and I are BFF.
I was wondering if there was a Chad/Thousand Oaks/Katherine McPhee connection.
