post gen-x

Ah, the harsh emotional realities of being an aging gen-xer. As told by The Onion.

Teri on NPR

If you tune in to NPR’s “Talk of the Nation” with Neal Conan today, you will hear our very own Teri Reisser as one of the guests. She didn’t tell us what she’s talking about, but you can guess based on this news coming out last week, and Teri’s work in the field.

(update) Listen online here.

Set aside for a minute, if you can, the great historical significance of this speech, and the hopeful message of justice is embodies. Aside from all of those important things, it is just a masterpiece of public speaking. The cadence, the progression and clarity of the ideas embodied, at every point this speech just soars.

New Server

Well, we made the switch. The blog is now hosted on a new server, one that stays up and stays fast. Sorry about the reversion to Website Design Basic 101. It’ll get pretty again in a hurry. I had to upgrade our version of WordPress to plug some major security holes, and the upgrades broke our old theme. For the time being, I picked safety over pretty.

Thanks to Slicehost for providing superfast servers for hobby nerds everywhere.

Thanks to Dreamhost for just barely providing enough uptime for me to transfer the files away from their servers to our new home.
