Rate My Professor

Well, awards season is here again, and yet again, The Michael Lee Experience has failed to win. My lowly little profile on ratemyprofessor.com failed to place in the Top 50 Highest Rated Profs, and didn’t even get nominated for Top 50 Hottest Profs. I guess I’ll have to be content with critical acclaim and a small but dedicated local fan-base.

I’m the “Of Montreal” of uni profs.

By the way, can someone tell me why Facebook hasn’t developed a professor-rating app yet? Seems like a pretty natural fit …

Man, I don’t know what’s wrong with the rest of the students here. I definitely would rate you high. Secondly, I think facebook did come out with a rate my professor type app. It was one of the first ones, I just don’t think it caught on right away.

Clearly your bribe rate is way below industry norm. Don’t you have “people” for this? I think you need to have a stern chat and probably fire one or two just on principle.

The problem with that is that my “people” right now consists of a guy named Alex Wen, who is possibly the best TA every created. He’s like a superhuman robot machine, built from scratch for the sole purpose of assisting me. If I fire him, I’m back to doing things for myself, and lord knows that’s not an option.

A few morsels from some of the more recent posts on Mike’s rating page:

“You don’t even have to go to the class!…I just went because he’s so fervent about the nerdiest things!”
    Indeed.

“I would consider him important to take.”
I thought this notable for the grammar alone.

“Lee is hilarious and young and relate-able….however- VERY DEMANDING. I should’ve failed, got a B…i dunno. Ethics seminar is wonderful. Good stuff. Logic projects are stressful and take HOURS….not an easy class to take with a full load of music junk.”
There are just so very many roads I could go down with this comment…

“music junk” hmmm…? So much wrong with that statement with the first being that it is a requirement…junk?..that one speaks for itself…and wouldn’t you assume that you would have a lot of music classes if you were a music major…not to mention that you personally sign up for them…ay que cavesa!

And Mike, my offer as a…”bearer of truth in your favor”….standing up for all that is good and Mike Lee, is always open…even if it means removing some of those “negative” voices and “convincing” others…all for a negotiable fee.

Hmmm, good thought Josiah… if you can’t have your own “people” I guess being one of Mike’s “people” is the next best thing. Just so we have it all covered, I think I’ll be one the other side… you bribe me and I’ll say nice things about him.

Yeah you get part of the picture. I tell you that you can keep all your limbs and you say good things about him. Now to clarify, I wouldn’t be one of his people, I’d be the reason that he has people. See the difference?

I just wish you could’ve seen/heard Alex’s reaction when he read the comments on this post.
