I’m not quite sure how my mood was to be altered in an upward direction by this particular song, but then again I’m not much of a blues devotee. Now bluegrass, that’s another story. Check out “Ode to a Butterfly” by Nickel Creek. The 30-second sample on iTunes is like audio Prozac!

I am a HUGE fan of Nickel Creek. I don’t think that there is anything, be it music or otherwise, that relaxes and romanticizes me as much as Nickel Creek or it’s members individual projects. Chris Thile, Sean Watkins, and Sarah Watkins are phenomenal and I really hope that you got to see them live before they went on the current “indefinite hiatus”.
With that being said, this song is outstanding! It definitely put me in a good mood, even though I was tired out of my mind. Congratulations Mike, good choice. You have good taste in music!

Oh man, The Lighthouse’s Tale off their self-titled cd is one of my all-time favorites. And what sucks is that the iTunes sample gives such a small piece of the story.
