Now the only thing left to do is cheer for Vlad to break it!

* If you exclude home runs made during the Steroid Era of Bond’s career, the years between this and this, the total comes to only 228. It should be noted that this is still a helluva lot more major league home runs than I’ve ever hit. But it is nowhere near the 755 that Hank Aaron hit.

As much as I’d like to see Vlad do it I don’t think he’s on pace. A-Rod has a better chance. As long as someone does it so that he fades into a insignificant blip on the radar of the past I’ll be a happy boy.

Jeremy I have to agree with you. I am huge Angel fan and they killed the Red Sox’s last nite - Yeah - but I think A-Rod is next line - but it did take him a few tries at 500.

    Go Angels.

I didn’t have the game on, and at about 8:50 heard all the neighbors cheering through opened windows. At first I couldn’t figure out what was going on, and then I flashed back to Bowles when Ross kissed Rachel.

It was similar, except this time it was the sound of Bonds taking a leak all over baseball.

I know I’m a few days late in joining in on the mix of this, but I am still extremely upset at the fact that chemicals and drugs won over talent and hard work. While you can’t deny that undoubtedly this is probably the biggest achievement in sports, it is only the more infuriating that this fact is true.

Bud Selig needs to get the hell out of baseball…
