Shameless Cross Promotion

Welcome to all of you who found this blog via the flurry of links today from various tech sites picking up on Mike’s excellent tutorial.   My name is Chad, and I’m one of the contributing authors around here, and I’m going to now engage in some shameless cross promotion.

For those of you who are regulars, this is for you too, and Mike has been encouraging me to do this for weeks.

If you’ll remember all the way back to August, my wife, Erica and I recorded our first record together as The Dailies.  Last week, we finally got our website together, and it’s now online.

www.thedailiesmusic.com

There’s still a bit of work / editing to be done, but we’re pretty proud of it.  There’s a forum section where you can leave notes for us, make comments, ask questions, rant, rave, etc…  I’d love nothing more then to have several lively conversations going at any given time, so that as people come to visit the site for the first time, it’s not a ghost town.

Hence the shameless cross-promotion.

We make great music, and smart people who have good taste like us.  You might, too.  Take 30 seconds of your life and scan through the songs.  This record is totally indie, we made it with our bare hands, with our hearts on our sleeves.

Oh yeah, and since the traffic today is mostly Apple related, you should know that the record was made entirely on Macs.  :)

  1. Love the wallpaper! Here it is, all emblazoned on my work computer…

    The Dailies Wallpaper

  2. shameless indeed.

And also, you should all immediately head over to The Dailies site. They are the Addison Road house band.

  3. Mixed on a Mac too.

  4. Thanks man! My buddy Dillon did it… like I said… it’s all home made.

  5. I love the site. Looks great! Yeah Dailies. You guys rock.

  6. Actually, one of the most important traits in any good marketer is having no shame. Congratulations Chad, I dub you Marketer of the First Order.

  7. Chad-I’ll buy the album.
Question is, is it more profitable for you if I buy it on iTunes, or order it from you directly?

  8. Daniel: Neither, really. Go to the next Dailies performance, and bring your flash drive. Trust me, as Mike Lee said, “It’s the wave of the future.”

Don’t listen to me. Just mail Chad a wad of cash – that’s the “best way”.

  9. The Dailies is going to be the first band to let you dump the album onto your own flash drive live at merch table at concerts. It’s fast, it’s cheap, it’s eco-friendly, what could be better?

  10. What could be better, Mike?

How about just beaming the uncompressed AIFF files directly into one’s frontal lobe?

  11. Nice.

I DO bring my flashdrive with me wherever I go, for instances such as this.
Ahhhh what you can do with 1GB in your pocket.

  12. is that 1GB in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

    yeah?

    yeah?

    who’s with me?

    *tap* *tap*

    is this thing on?

  13. I actually carry two gigs with me, if you know what I mean.

  14. 2. Pack all your worldly belongings in the box.

    (sorry… we’re moving next weekend…)

  15. 3. Make the Associate Producer open the box…

  16. HAHAHAHA!!!!

    4. Put the lid back on the box because your one year old has the flu and just woke up… again.

  17. Geez. I laughed so hard I think I got to screeching there for a second or two.

  18. Yeah.

    3. Make the associate producer open the box, makes me yearn for one thing, and one thing only:

    Taglines.

  19. I personally commit $20 to the fundraiser. I nominate Morphea as the treasurer.

  20. oh, hell no.

Does she look trustworthy to you? Look at that glint in her eye – she’s already bookmarking things in the Kitty and Pooch catalog that she can get for under $20.

  21. Excuse me, but you set the parameters, and you shall abide.

  22. Peace people

    We love you
