Spent the day today putting together an opening segment for Sunday, Easter. This is the fruit of that labor - not mixed yet, the compression on the mix bus is the only thing holding the boat together.

This will be the underscore to a video setting of the scripture, with a few images interspersed, and one cool video clip of a sunrise from Matty. The fade out that you hear at the end will actually keep going, and the loop will turn into the loop running behind the song “Let Creation Sing“. We’ll drop the band in right there, and start the song at the chorus.

So … anybody know any cheap-as-beer video editors who want to take that part off my hands?

  3. I’ve totally used that sample of the African choir. Nice use of the high kid sample too.

    And Let Creation Sing must be the Easter tune of the year… we’re learning it on Thursday.

  4. That’s not a sample of the kid, it’s actually Sophia singing. She’s very advanced.

  5. Actually, stick and chad, you might get a kick out of this. The boy’s solo is a set sample from Symphony of Voices, but they only have each phrase in one key. Well, the EXS24 has a “tune” knob, right? and it has automation, right?

    I automated the tuning of the EXS24 phrase by phrase to put the sample in the key I wanted. I love logic!

    I’ve started playing with the beta of Digi’s new sampler for Protools. It’s pretty great. And it will read all my EXS samples.
