Ah, been there, done that. But the worst (and most entertaining) Starbuck’s mishaps in my family have been as a result of user error, my wife’s. Like the time that she spilled a vanilla latte into the gearshift of her car, which when it dried and the sugar crystallized, rendered the car unable to shift out of park. I had to have it drug onto a flatbed tow truck to get it to the mechanic. Or the time that she placed her coffee on the roof of her car while holding an umbrella, then bent to get something out of the driver’s seat, resulting in the umbrella knocking over the cup and spilling yet another vanilla latte (thankfully she orders her coffee practically tepid) down her neck. The best part was that the umbrella was bought from Starbucks, and had all over the inside of it were the words: “Into every life a little coffee must fall.”
