I'm glad to hear that people were talking to you about your music after you sang. We were feeling so bad that a lot of people were talking while you were singing these incredibly-thought-provoking-and-beautiful-songs-that-have-nothing-to-do-with-New-Years-Eve. We were in the house at the "real" midnight, watched the ball drop in New York, did the count down, kissed, went out to the tent and learned that it was 11:58 and we were going to get to do it all again! So now I know how that happened. I'm very disappointed that we missed the height of the giggle fest, but I'm old and made Bill take me home at like 12:10. You guys were great - what a team! But I can truthfully say that I am the Bill of the aforementioned "Bill and Becky" and I needed to have my spleen replaced watching this event. Chad and Erica, the faces, the looks, the iPod as a lighter, the lady with the flashlight, the lounge singing, pages flying, chords shouting. Like some Monty Python version of the 12 days of New Years Eve. It took a day for "Fly me to the moon" to exit my head but it was replaced with words that will forever be in my heart, "you are sweetly and completely loved". I love that song and I love this story and I love sharing life with Becky and Chad and Erica and Anthony and Yolanda and God. God bless, Happy New Year!!! Wonderful story, again, especially in writing. It brought back many fond memories of some of our, er, favorite gigs over the past 30-odd years: Singing Christmas lullabyes in a "pocket park" in Pacific Palisades that abutted Sunset Blvd. Our makeship PA (an elementary school record player into which a mike was plugged) was no match for the traffic. "Jesus, Jesus, rest your headHONKHONKHONK!!!" Singing for the dedication (to the Lord) of a tennis court in Palos Verdes. (Anyone know any spiritual songs about tennis? How about "My thirsty soul desires and longs within thy courts to be...") Singing at an afternoon outdoor wedding at the Bel-Air Bay Club -- overlooking the PCH.
