Thanks to your point that many of Alanis’ combinations are not “ironic” (i.e. rain on your wedding day), now whenever we hear that word, my husband and I look at each other and ask, “Is that truly ironic?!”

I wish I could find that study that directly links lower IQ to abnormally high self-esteem. I read it somewhere – it’s real, and not that surprising.
Now every time I have an arrogance episode I wonder if I’m really, really stupid to boot.
