The O Come All Ye Faithful arr was supposed to be a Postal Service homage, and this was my take on Sigur Ros (simple changes that don't change and simply build in arrangement and intensity). We performed both of these arrangements live (well... with tracks) at the ABF christmas show and they really played to a house, which was gratifying. We tried to not get all "Studio" on these versions, rather just putting down the vocals that we did live without a bunch of stacks and such. I find it actually harder to do it this way, as everyone knows how I feel about doubles. And triples. And three parts stacked four ways each. I miss boy bands. I've always wanted to do a super-edgy Christmas album. It seems like everyone's take on Christmas is sugar and sweet. For me, it's like... good grief... we're talking incarnation here. Revolution.
