Well… here’s a little something for you Dailies junkies (mom.)
This is a song called Unplug. It holds a place of significance in that it was the first tune I wrote with this project specifically in mind. It’s also one of the first times that I gave myself permission to write about… well… something other then Church Stuff.
Erica hasn’t done vocals on this one, so all you’re gonna hear singing-wise is my primary double.

Five thoughts:
1. Thank you for giving us the first listen!
2. Mom claims there are new vocals (she’s listened to the work CD so many times she is picking up nuances).
3. Nice work, Rosy!
4. Is that the Hammond we hear?
5. OCD moment — have you guys registered these tunes with ASCAP?
Keep it coming!

SO brilliant, guys: solid groove, great soundscape, stellar lyrics. I love that the tune is so mellow and restrained…it makes the lyrics that much more punchy and surprising.
Thanks for sharing the journey, Chad.

Okay, this is killing an old fart to have to ask, but I’ve never ventured into myspace before tonight. I signed up, but what do I have to do to be listed as a “friend” at the Dailies site? Yours truly, Dailies Junkie

Vocals are the same… :)
The B3 you hear is a fakie from a Nord synth. Some pro work was done today, and the real B3 was fired up for the first time with a Leslie. Sounds… amazing. I mean, the first time the tech fired it up in the hall, we all made a beeline for it. It’s THE sound… finally.
We’ll most likely leave the one you hear on the final track, as it’s a busy, busy track, and as Mike said, “A real B3 moves a lot of air… takes up a lot of space in the mix.”
Don’t worry… it’s coming. With a vengeance.
