Sophia is very into sharing right now. She love to hand us things, we say “Thank You!” then we hand them back. This is very fun, and we are encouraging her to do more of this. The downside? A lot of her sharing consists of things like half-eaten banana, slobbery binky, and 3-week old couch-cheerios. Ummm … Thanks?

mmmm…couch cheerios, soggy chips and shared popsicles melting down my arm. I love being a mom :)
Well, at least you can be thankful that she really gets the concept…couch cheerios are like gold to a 13-month old. Sharing them is a serious sacrifice!
We are “sharing” half-eaten bananas at our house, too. But it is because Camille learned how to peel them, and is more fascinated in the peeling than the eating.
I very often “clean up” the house sans any attempt at raking out all that has accumulated beneath, behind and within the couch. At any given moment, I’m quite sure one could find a full serving of cereal in the afore mentioned places. I just figure that when I stand before the Lord someday and make a review of my life, I don’t want “I spent a heap of time being REALLY REALLY REALLY clean!” to be at the top of my list. (How’s that for a theological excuse for slobbiness?!) Carry on dear Sophia, carry on!
So she is walking now… (oh yeah!) and thinks “peek-a-boo” and “I’ll hide something and you find it” are great games. Thus, mobility and hiding things from mommy=fun surprises for everyone, whether in the couch or not. Look out guests, you’ve been warned ;)
