Kyrie Yeshua
This heat, and hail, and flood, and fire
Reminds us
We are tenuous and precarious beasts
Held in your hand
Sustained by your hand
And though we are removed
From famine, and pestilence, and fires
We are not so far removed
Sustain us by your hand
For we are tenuous and precarious beings

This is exactly what the air conditioner repairman told me yesterday. Except he added his own bit of “flair” to it:
“This heat, and hail, and flood, and fire
Reminds us
We are tenuous and precarious beasts
Held in your hand
Sustained by your hand
That’ll be $433.60″

That’s a beautiful poem. And perhaps the funniest response to one of Michael’s prayers. It’s a little too long for a tagline, but that’s a shame.
