Much cooler indeed. I feel gypped. You should’ve seen the group of Malibuians (Malibuites?) assembled at the court house…it was worth going just for the people-watching. (I fear I didn’t, uh, blend.)

Yes! I totally did, but our room had the video without the sound, which we were supposed to overhear from the firt room of enraptured juror wanna bes. Mike got to have the whole “importance of jurrorhood” speech from an actual judge, which I think would be much cooler.

Ok, number one, small world. I think Danny Donnelly produced and/or played on one or more of Brian Joseph’s records.

Number two, my only jury duty that turned into a case was in Santa Monica, home of the OJ trial, on a ridiculous medical malpractice case, where a Plastic Surgeon’s ex-lover was sueing him for pain and suffering, claiming he did a bad job on her. Needless to say, I learned more than I ever wanted to know about facial peels. Only in LA.

And C, Protools 7 MIDI implentation is better than it was in 6, and will suffice for plenty of things, but Logic 7 pretty much kicks it’s little tushy. And “Xpand” verses EXS24 and a buttload of great included instruments? Come on.

I was honored to serve last year while 7 months pregnant (the other jurors liked to use me for bathroom breaks). Once I had to be there, it was really kind of fascinating. However being a part of a pointless civil trial where you would really rather not side with either party, but just stand up and yell “Seriously? You’ve dragged this out for 2 years and now have wasted our time too? Shame on you. Problem solve!” is not the best. Yeah, the 1st grade teacher in me was having a hard time caring.

Did you really have jury duty with Bernadette Peters?! Holy crap.

I didn’t recognize the first guy, but what a resume. I am especially reverent of the appearances on “My Two Dads”(who weren’t at all gay). That show was as influential as “Blossom”.

You have my sympathy regarding jury duty. There’s not much worse than jury duty.

There are too many actors and musicians in LA. I’ll bet if you went around the room and started making friends, you’da found 30 more…. half of them waiting tables between gigs.

Besides, I’m MUCH more interested in Bernadette Peters’ opinion on Pro Tools vs. Logic…. with which I plan to agree, whatever it is.
