When I first glanced at the title, I thought it said “How to Speak & Write Postmortem”. And I thought, “Hmmm, this ought to be interesting.”
Yeah, that’s a different article.
funny, I’ve written articles similar in content to that one. But my approach was to title them Convincing Others You’re Not A Complete Dumbass. This one has a better ring to it.
I like that title, Corey. I think that the term “Dumbass” has become one of the more nuanced and hyper-textural forms of insulting oneself or others in the postmodern era. It will envelop and marginalize other terms such as “idiot”, “stupid-head” and “retard” which are all outdated and not very PC. Or POMO.
