Pray For Jon Wallace

Feb 09 2006

Jon Wallace is having surgery this morning to remove the cancer. It was more extensive, and more aggressive, than they had previously feared. Please pray for him, and for his family, as he is in surgery this morning.

  1. Will you give us an update when you hear anything, Michael?

  2. Lord, we lift our brother Jon up before you and ask with boldness that you would use your divine breath to inspire those doctors, who have given so many years of their lives towards the study of healing. We pray for nothing less than a complete healing of Jon. We believe that you are able to restore him to perfect health, that he might continue to serve APU and minister to so many, as he ministered to so many of us.

We lift up his family before you, that they might know the intimate presence of your Holy Spirit during this troubled time. We ask for the Wallace’s close friends to feel the prompting of your Spirit, that they might be able to meet physical and emotional needs with words of comfort, love, and laughter.

Above all things, we thank you for Jon, and humbly ask that you extend his time with us here before you call Him to your presence. We praise you for his faith, and his walk, for his integrity and his friendship.

In the name of Jesus the Christ, our Great High Priest, we ask these things.

    Amen

  3. He is out of surgery, and the report is that it went as expected. I’m not sure what that means exactly, but I think it’s good.

He’ll be in the hospital for the next few days, then a longer recovery time at home. Once he’s back up to strength, they’ll start a course of chemotherapy and radiation.

  4. Thanks for the update Mike. It is good to hear what is happening from so far away. He has had a huge immpact on my life and we are praying for him.

  5. Oh, poor man. Sending prayers from up here.

    Cerise
