Phantastic Phriday: Doing something right (for a change).
It’s a tad on the weird side to get choked up while reading one’s news online. But there it is. Rosa Parks will be the first woman in US history to lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda. Sometimes the knuckleheads get it right.

A well-deserved honor. Perhaps it’s one of many new, good changes up there in Toontown. We can always dream.

I love this for so many reasons. I love the fact that we are a people capable of saying “We were wrong. We treated people without dignity, and witheld from them basic rights, and we were morally wrong for doing so. We honor Rosa Parks for demonstrating our error, and for catlyzing the change. We honor her to remind ourselves of the distance we have yet to travel.”

We need more of that sort of thing.
