This is a pretty interesting article on the rise of home churches. I know most of us associate home churches with the emerging church movement, but this article raises some interesting perspectives on the more conservative side of the home-church movement.

Hey brother,
I was surprized at the content of the “Onion” article and concluded that it was written to degrade house churches. I am certain that many of the alleged issues are not issues for most hcer’s.
I have, btw, several of the offical emergent books and don’t really see that they advocate home churches. Perhaps you can point me to one that does or to even a web document from one of the main emergent sites. Several writers did report that their churches began in homes but that was about it.
