I’ve added a new post category (along with a cool new photo indicator for it: me=rox@geekstuff) called “writing workshop”. As I mentioned in a comment earlier, one of the reasons for launching this blog is to give me space to hone my writing skillz. The only way I know of to get better at a craft is the same way I learned piano - do it, review it, and re-do it.

So that’s the point of this category. Anything that gets hit with this tag is me trying out a new mode, voice, method, or subject and approaching it as an exercise in writing. If you see a post with this tag, feel free to include stylistic and methodological critiques in the comment section.

I also want to open this category up. One of the common threads that runs through the readership of this blog is a love of language, and of writing. If you want to take advantage of this space to woodshed some of your own work, feel free. All you have to do is register, and then submit it.
