Faith is the opposite of doubt. If you have faith in Jesus, how can you doubt him at the same time? If your saved, you have the Holy Spirit who erases all doubt.

Yikes...

If - then statements such as that make me pretty nervous. Can you please point to a scripture that ensures us of this? I can think of several Psalms that make David's angst and doubt and fear and anger quite evident. Was the Holy Spirit absent from his life?

If I have doubts about the church... uh oh... what of me? I am pretty sure I have the Holy Spirit in my life... and I am quite certain that I have doubts about a great many things. I am working out my faith with fear and trembling.

Sorry if this came off as harsh... it's just that when we are SO sure of ourselves that we stumble into... you know..... doubt.

A fresh-faced teen checks her bank balance and notices that she is nearly overdrawn. Her first thought is “Poopcicles! I am uncertain as to whether or not I’ll ever be able to balance my check book.” Filled with self-doubt, she logs off her web browser.
“What would Crown Ministries say about this?” she wonders. “If I give my finances to God, will He help me be a good stewardess of His resources?” Self-doubt shifts to burgeoning hope, as she uses the self-affirmation technique she learned last Sunday. “I am a confident, capable teen of the 00’s. I can flush this uncertainty non-sense right down the drain!” She faithfully consults her CM workbook and finds a practical solution.
For the next three weeks her balance looks great, until her younger pirate -brother decides to pilfer her coffers for a second time...
