Ok, I see that, a year and half later, there are still no responses to this comic. Well, i think it’s funny, so screw you guys, I’m going home.
I laughed again, too. But with guilt. Calling Our Lord post-math seems a bit blasphemous.
I think the blasphemy part is where he has to ask B questions about the Emerging Church, because his omniscience doesn’t quite extend that far …
Nah, he’s just demonstrating how to have a teachable spirit. But he’s an ace at proofs.
Your supposed funny remarks about Jesus Christ and cartoons seem very blasphemous to me. Where is your fear of God? I realize you’re a comedian and young (which explains a lot), but He created the entire universe by speaking it into being. In James 4:13-17 God says, “Come now, you who say, ‘Today and tomorrow let us travel to this city, and let us spend a year there, and let us trade and make a profit’–you who do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? For it is a vapor that appears for a little time, but then also disappears. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.’ But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”
That’s why I had to leave you a comment. It would have been a sin for me not to. Please reconsider your stance of making fun of my Savior and Lord!
Ang, you’ll have to help me out here. I’m not sure what you’ve found so offensive about this particular cartoon. I’m poking a little fun at my own people, the emerging church movement, not at Jesus.
If you’ll help clarify what you found offensive, maybe I can better explain it. Of course, if this is just a drive-by flaming, and you’re off to spread the gospel of peace elsewhere, never to return to our humble web-o-blog, that’s cool too, I guess.
